EMI will be present at International Symposium of Grid and Cloud Computing being held in Taipei from February 26th to March 2nd. The conference is hosted by the Academia Sinica Grid Computing Centre (ASGC). Continuing a consolidated tradition (10th anniversary occurs this year), ISGC12 will provide an unique opportunity for researchers and collaboration partners to share their knowledges around and about distributed computing platforms.
EMI contributes to the scientific program, and will also run a booth, where conference participants can gather detailed information about the project and, filling this simple on-line survey, receive a special gift.

Cloudscape IV focuses strongly on interoperability and portability issues with the involvement of key Standard Development Organizations as part of a call for action to strengthen international cooperation to address global challenges. Cloudscape IV also shines the spotlight on the reusable assets of European Distributed Computing Infrastructures and the need to foster synergies beyond the typical research infrastructure landscape. The event also sees the launch of the SIENA European Roadmap on Grid and Cloud Standards for e-Science and Beyond.

In January 2012, EMI has formalized in an MoU its technical and strategic partnership with iMarine to support the creation of an open data e-infrastructure for fisheries management and conservation of marine living resources.
